Everything you need to know before diving.
From what age can my child dive?
First dives are possible from age 8. For higher levels, age requirements vary depending on the certification. We always adapt supervision to each child’s age and build.
Do I need to know how to swim for a first dive?
Being comfortable in the water is recommended, but no competition-level swimming skills are required for a first dive. The instructor stays by your side throughout the dive.
How much does a first dive cost at Maeva?
Our rates and full packages are available on the Rates & Booking page. We also offer family packs and group discounts.
When is the best time to dive in Corsica?
The center is open from April to October. The best visibility and water temperature are generally between June and September, but spring and autumn offer calmer seas and fewer crowds.
Do I need a medical certificate?
For a simple first dive, a health questionnaire is enough. For training and autonomous exploration dives, a medical certificate of no contraindication to diving is required.

Maeva Plongée is located in Porticcio (BP48 Les Marines, 20166), about 20 minutes from Ajaccio, by the sea.
